Sunbeam is a software studio in Lucknow, India. We work remotely with UK companies that want a senior partner for a defined product, internal system, website, automation or knowledge tool. We do not have a UK office or a UK company. The working relationship is designed around a real overlap of a few hours, with the rest of the day carried in writing.

A UK company looking for a software development partner in India has usually been sold capacity: more developers, a lower rate, a team that appears overnight. The engagements that work are narrower. There is a product owner in the UK, a problem that can be described, and an engineering team that writes decisions down because it will not see you in the afternoon.
That is the work we take. A professional-services firm that needs a client workflow the generic tools keep bending. A product company that wants a slice built and left in its own repository. An organisation whose website no longer explains the offer, or whose staff keep answering the same questions from a shared drive. We are a poor fit for a procurement exercise that requires a UK contracting entity, a large onshore presence, or overnight cover.
Our delivery language is English, which matches the working language of the engagement. We build with semantic structure, keyboard access and readable content in mind. That is our engineering standard, and it is not a certification. If you have a specific accessibility duty, tell us at the start so it is part of the scope.

India stays on India Standard Time, UTC+5:30, all year. The UK moves between Greenwich Mean Time and British Summer Time. In winter, when the UK is on GMT, 9:00 to 13:00 UK time is 14:30 to 18:30 in Lucknow. In summer, when the UK is on British Summer Time, 9:00 to 13:00 UK time is 13:30 to 17:30 in Lucknow.
That morning block is the live window. It is long enough for a decision, a design review or a working session, and it is short enough that the plan must not depend on an all-day workshop. UK afternoons are for your team to use the product and write what is wrong. We read that at the start of the next Lucknow day and bring answers to the following morning's window.

Put approvals and unresolved questions in the overlap. A status meeting that could have been a short note wastes the only hours we share.
Season change
When the UK clocks change and India does not, the window moves by an hour. We reset the standing slot rather than quietly sliding into a time one side stops attending.
